Welcome to Another Aussie Backpacker, where I will blog and share my experiences travelling worldwide.

I'm Michael, a 30-year-old Australian who has taken a break from the full-time corporate grind to travel Europe. In April 2024, I sold everything back home in Australia, leaving my apartment, family, friends and everything I've ever known to travel the world.

The goal was to take a break from working, which I have been doing nonstop for the last ten years, and rejuvenate. I freed my mind from the standard life experiences to refresh myself and prepare to tackle my 30s and the next stage of my life.

Once this travel has finished, I'll be settling down in Europe. I'll live and work in a foreign country while continuing to travel and take advantage of the proximity to some of the most amazing destinations in the world. I'll be sharing my experiences as a foreigner in a new country, hopefully inspiring others to take the same leap that I have.

I aim to share what it's like to backpack and travel at a slightly older age than standard. I've found a lack of openness about travelling, especially solo travelling in your late 20s and early 30s. So, I'd like to share my experiences and tips to ensure anyone in a similar situation can have a great experience.
